- Minimize the time demands on teachers, and school administrative staff.
- Provide lots of optional opportunities for teachers to enhance regular
teaching activities in a wide range of subject areas.
- Make it as easy as possible for volunteers to run the program in a
school by keeping the process simple and within a bounded time frame
and by providing comprehensive resources
- To design a program that runs for a week but which provides a significant
platform and momentum for additional or more complex initiatives.
- To provide equal opportunity to all kids to participate, regardless
of distance from school or physical abilities.
